Grace Myles




Grace Myles- Director- Tap, Ballet and Jazz


Ms. Gracie is the Owner and Artistic Director of GG's Show Troupe for 30 years.  She has studied dance most of her life with various dance studios and has taken master classes at many locations including Broadway Dance Center in NYC and Rhapsody of Taps in Los Angeles.  She also studied dance and Elementary Education at the University of Maryland.  She is a member of Dance Educators of America.  She has judged at several competitions, and has taught master classes throughout the United States.  She has choreographed "Mistletoe Magic", "Anything Goes", "The Project", "School House Rock", "Godspell", "Beauty and the Beast" and her own musical "Holly Jolly Christmas".  She is the recipient of many choreography, entertainment, and technique awards and her routines have been in the over-all top scores at many national competitions.  Her students have gone onto be in commercials, movies, have danced with the Wizards, and on cruise ships for Disney and have been in Broadway shows, including Stomp.  She has lived in St. Mary's County for 31 years and has three children and two grandchildren.

 
Justin Myles


Justin Myles- Tap, Contemporary Modern, Drumming, Body Percussion


Justin is a graduate of the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, where he majored in jazz and ballet/contemporary modern. He has performed in 42nd Street at Toby's Dinner Theater, with Tap Dogs in Reno, NV; and at King's Dominion and Busch Gardens in Virginia. He also performed on the Disney Cruise lines and was dance captain during his tour with Disney. In January 2006 he auditioned, along with hundreds of other hopefuls, and earned a top spot with the highly acclaimed New York City show STOMP. He toured with STOMP for six years, and is now taking a break to teach at the studio, to teach master classes throughout the U.S. and to promote his music career and new cd. He has choreographed many high scoring tap routines at Gracie's studio and continues to teach master classes for Starpower National Talent Competition and all over the United States. He was the recipient of many title and top scoring awards throughout his competitive years. He is looking forward to teaching drum, rhythm and body percussion this year as well as tap and modern/contemporary.

Lisa Burrows



Lisa Burrows- Hip Hop/Funk


I’ve been dancing since I was two. My mom (Gracie) was my first teacher. I still remember the first song: Zippy De Do Dah. I was my Mom’s teacher assistant during my high school years. I am a CHS graduate of 1991. My hobbies in high school were poms and cheerleading. I’ve studied at CMS in La Plata for Technique/Conditioning of Dance. I have been a teacher and competitive student of Gracie's for 15 years. I have taught at Pax River Naval Air Station for Morale, Welfare and Recreation. Previously I was a coach and teacher for Leonardtown High School's Dance Team. I’ve assisted with the choreography of the Pax River Raider Cheerleaders! I have two children that dance with GG's Show Troupe.

 

Jennifer Shockly


Jennifer Habbert- Ballet, Jazz and Lyrical


Ms. Jenn has been teaching at Gracie's Guys and Gals for over 18 years.  As a seasoned ballet, lyrical and jazz teacher Ms. Jenn brings a style and energy to each and every class that encourages learning, technique and enjoyment of dance that comes from over 35 years of involvement in dance.  Additionally, Ms. Jenn works as a personal trainer and has in turn taken the lessons learned in that profession to create a series of conditioning programs to assist the dancers with core strength and cardio conditioning, helping reduce injury while strengthening the dancers to help reach new heights!
 
 

Melanie Bowles

Melanie has been dancing since she was 2 1/2 years. She danced at Gracies for 17 years and competed for 10 years. She has traveled up and down the East Coast competing at various competitions and even danced in Disney World. She has taken tap workshops with various choreographers. She is currently going to college to be a dental hygienist.
 


Stacy Myers



Stacy Myers


Stacy has been dancing at Gracie's Guys and Gals since she was 2 1/2 years old. She competed with GG's show troupe for 12 years. She has won numerous individual awards (technical and entertainment) as well as group awards. She was a student teacher for seven years and has been teaching classes at Gracie's for three years. Stacy is a pre-school teacher at St. Mary's Sunshine Center and is attending the College of Southern Maryland for childhood development.
 


Melanie Downs
Melanie Downs


Melanie was trained in dance at Gracie's Guys and Gals for 14 years. She also trained in Tap Dancing as a pre - professional with the JaM Youth Project. This past summer she spent 2 weeks in intensive training in Hip-Hop In Los Angeles, CA with Hollywood Biz. Most receently, she became a member of Capitol Movement, a professional dance team specializing in Hip-Hop. She has been a student assistant at Gracie's since she was 12 years old assisting in Tap and Hip-Hop. Last year, she started teaching as a teacher in training where she assisted in teaching a Hip-Hop class. Her students loved her!
 


Jesse Burrows


Jesse Burrows


Jesse Burrows danced in GG's Showtroupe for 16 years. He auditioned and was accepted in Capitol Movement Professional Dance Company in Washington, DC. This is his second year in the company. He has performed at the Kennedy Center and the Avalon Theater in Los Angeles. He attended a two-week intensive dance seminar in Los Angeles, CA in July 2017. He has been a guest choreographer for a hip hop workshop for a special project in Gaithersburg, MD, and was an Assistant Teacher last year at Gracie's Guys and Gals Dance Studio.
 


Jimmy Moore


Jimmy Moore


Jimmy is a software developer by day and a teacher by night. He has attended drumming and body percussion for the past couple of years and is now teaching them. He is currently working at J.F. Taylor in the MCA program during the days and is excited about drumming and body percussion this year.
