Newsletter for February 2018

It's hard to believe it's February already! Our annual recital is June 15th and 16th to be held at Patuxent High School in Lusby, MD. Dress rehearsal will be June 14th, and the run through (to run through all the routines) will be held at the St. Mary's Fairgrounds on Tuesday, June 12th. Times and schedules will be emailed later.

We will be OPEN on Monday, February 19th, even though it is President's Day.

There will be a ROOM MOM's meeting on Tuesday Feb. 27th, from 6:30-7:00 p.m. This meeting is just for the moms who have volunteered to be the room mom for the class.

The next parent observation class will be held in March. The teachers are focusing on finishing up choreography during the month of February.

Costumes that were ordered over the Christmas break will be arriving soon. The costumes arrive at different times, and when they arrive, we will notify the room mom and she will notify everyone. The parents will then come in the last 30 min. to help the kids try on their costumes, and at that time the teacher will explain if there are any accessories needed, and how the girls will wear their hair.

Just a reminder that when St. Mary's schools are closed for bad weather, then we also cancel classes for the night. If after school activities are cancelled due to bad weather, we also cancel classes for the evening. If school starts late in the morning, we still hold classes in the evening.

Please encourage your child to practice and to come to class prepared, ready to learn and to keep the chatter at a minimum.

The Spring Break will be March 26th-29th. We will have class on Monday April 2nd.

In March we hope to have the lineup of the shows in the lobby for your review. You will need to mark any corrections to the spelling of your child's name on the hard copy. We try to coordinate the recital shows with little inconvenience, but if you have a child in multiple routines, or several children taking dance, there is a good chance that your children will not all be in the same recital show.
