RECITAL June 15th and 16th at Patuxent High School, and Dress Rehearsal June 14th. The lineup of the three shows are on the table in the lobby. Please check the spelling of your child's name to be sure it's correct and mark any corrections on the hard copy. This is a milestone year, celebrating 30 years! There are sign-up sheets for five, ten, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year awards, as well as high school graduating seniors. Room moms please check the spelling of your name. Please consider soliciting businesses to place an ad in the recital book, and you can get a free ad! All that information is on the table in the lobby! The ads pay for the printing of the recital book, and this allows us to give each family a free recital book which has the lineup of all three shows. The deadline for submitting a form is May 10th and May 17th is the deadline to submit pictures to the graphic arts person. The picture schedule is on the table as well. That will be the week of April 30th. The kids will come dressed in their recital costume and bring any changes for other pictures that same day. The entire studio will be set up for pictures and dressing rooms, so no classes will be held that week. There is a sample price list of the packages offered by Classic Photography on the counter. The day your child is scheduled for pictures you can fill out a form and make payment directly to Classic Photography. The parents will remain in the lobby and the teachers will pose the children. Classic Photography will print a copy of the child's individual picture for you to approve prior to purchasing any pictures. We try to adhere to the schedule, but please be patient if we are not on time. We appreciate you brining your child to have a group picture even if you do not plan on purchasing any individual pictures. During Picture Week, the room moms will take a group picture outside to submit to the recital book staff to put a 1/2 page ad in the book. She will divide the cost of the ad evenly among the entire class which is usually only $5 or lower per person. Please be supportive of this if you can. This helps defray the cost of the printing of the recital book, and the kids love seeing their picture in the recital book. Please prioritize attending dance class each week, as the teachers are finishing choreography and cleaning routines and formations. The Show Troupe will be selling trophies, flowers, and recital tee shirts, as their fundraiser, and more information will be on the table shortly.
