Newsletter for December 2019
Costumes will be shared, and parent observation will be the week of December 9th, parents will come in at the beginning of the class, watch a quick share of a routine, measure your child, fill out a form, and the staff will help you decide what size to order your child. Payment in full, check or cash, is expected. Checks made payable to Grace Myles, or Gracie's Guys and Gals Dance Studio, and Ms. Grace writes one big check to the costume companies. We order the costumes over the Christmas break, so you need to be sure you pay for your child's costume no later than December 19 if your child is not going to be at class the week of Dec. 9th. Otherwise your child will NOT have a costume ordered. If in doubt as to what size to order, it is always best to go up a size, because a costume can be taken in, but if it's too small you can't fix it.
Costumes range in price from approx. $45-85. Please be prepared. If you order a costume too small, or too big, and it needs to be returned, there is a $35 fee you will need to pay for exchange. No refunds are given. Costumes will arrive between mid-February and mid-April. When they arrive we will inform the room mom and she will let you know details as to when you will come into the class to assist your child in putting on the costume.
The Christmas/Winter Break will be December 23-January 3rd. Classes will resume on Monday January 6th. Don’t forget about the Holly Jolly Lip Sync on December 7th! Information on the front counter! Great family event!
The last week of classes in December we give the kids a candy cane, we tell them not to eat it until they see their parent, so if you do not want your child to have the candy cane (some kids are not allowed to have sugar), then you can have supervision over this.
Starting in January the teachers move forward with choreography, so attendance becomes critical for the new year! Try to have your child in class each week, unless they are sick. Thank you.
If it snows, and schools in St. Mary’s County are closed, or after school activities are canceled, then we cancel classes in the evening. If schools are delayed, we have classes in the evening.
Also remember TUITION IS DUE by the 7th of each month. A $15 late fee is imposed on any payments received after the 7th. Place payment inside tuition slot under the counter, or in outside green mailbox (over by dumpsters). Thank you!
