Newsletter for January 2020
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a nice Christmas break and are now ready to concentrate on recital choreography!
Tuition for January won't be due until January 9th, instead of the 7th, since the studio didn't start back up from the Christmas break until January 6th. Reminder payments received after the due date are accessed a $15 late fee. If your child misses classes the first week, when tuition is due, you can drop off payment in the outside green mailbox over by the dumpsters, it has GRACIE and 44150 on the side.
Costumes have been ordered and are scheduled for delivery between mid-February and mid-April. Not all costumes arrive at the same time, different catalogs have different ship dates. When your child's costume arrives, we will notify the room mom who will contact you so that you can come into the class to assist your child in putting on the costume. At that time the teacher will tell you if she wants additional accessories, how the hair should be and talk to you about make up.
REMINDER: If schools are canceled due to snow or bad weather, we close the studio.
If St. Mary's public schools cancel after school activities, then we also cancel evening classes.
If schools are delayed in the morning, we will still have classes.
The studio WILL have classes on January 20th, even though the guidelines and policies had it listed as a holiday.
In February we will have information about ordering tights. We will have sample tights on display in the lobby to help you determine what size to order your child. We require each student to purchase a new pair of tights as each year the colors may vary, and we want all the tights to match for the recital. Thank you for understanding. We will have more information and will email you in a few weeks.
RECITAL is JUNE 19th and 20th at Patuxent High School in Lusby, MD. Dress Rehearsal will be on Thursday June 18th. The run-through of all group routines will be held on Tuesday, June 16th at the St. Mary's County Fairgrounds. Times will be emailed later but wanted you to make these dates on your calendar. If your child only takes one class per week, she/he will only be in one recital; if your child, or children, take more than one class, there is a chance he/she could be in two recitals. We normally have all preschool classes on the Saturday afternoon show. We have three recitals total. One is Friday evening, one is Saturday afternoon, and one is Saturday night. More information will be forthcoming.
