Gracie's Guys and Gals Dance Studio

We Tap!

Newsletter for April 2020

The studio is closed as a non-essential business until the Governor deems it safe to resume classes.  My assumption is that as long as schools are closed, we will remain closed.

The studio has been cleaned, wiped down, and sanitized so when we do open, everything will be nice and clean!

I think we need to keep planning for our annual recital and assume that it is going to take place as planned on June 19th and 20th. I’ll be sending out information regarding the RECITAL BOOK, so that as you’re able to have contact with people, or perhaps by internet, we can try to solicit business ads.  Also, you can submit personal ads for your child as well.  The ads pay for the printing of the RECITAL BOOK, and if we get enough ads that will pay for the printing of the books and every family will receive a recital book free however, if we do not receive enough ads, then we may have to charge for the recital book, as printing is very expensive. You can earn a free ad by getting business ads, more info to follow!

I’m working on the line up for the recital shows, and once I get approval from the teachers, I will send out the line up to everyone for you to proof.

If you are celebrating five, 10, 15, 20, 25 years at Gracie’s this recital then please email me, so I can compile a list, and order your special award to be presented at the end of the recital show.  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., plus if you are graduating high school senior, please email me as well.  Thank you!

I am so disappointed, as you are, that this coronavirus has upset the entire schedule of our lives.  It won’t last forever as long as everyone does their part to keep America healthy.  We are asked to stay home as much as possible, and not socialize with anyone right now.  I find that taking a ride to see the water is helpful (stay in car if it’s crowded) and taking short walks in my yard.  I’m sure with school work starting to be sent home, that will occupy the kids, and hopefully they can practice their recital routines daily to keep everything up to par.

Picture Week will need to be rescheduled.  Some costume companies are not working right now, but by the end of April or the first part of May all the costumes should arrive.

Hopefully we’ll be starting back up in May, but only time will tell.  In the meantime, stay safe and try to stay busy.   Once we start back up, the various teachers may need to have extra practices on Saturdays.

  Be safe, and stay healthy,
  Ms. Gracie
