Newsletter for January 2025Happy New Year everyone! Blessings to each one for a prosperous and healthy new year! Set realistic goals and try to keep them! Recital is June 20th and 21st at Patuxent High School in Lusby. Dress rehearsal is on June 19th. Times and more information will be forthcoming. If your child just takes one class (one 45-min class) once a week, he/she will just be in one recital. The preschool classes will be in the Saturday matinee show for your planning purposes. As the costumes arrive, the teacher will inform the parents so that at least one of the parents can come into the class to assist the student to try on their costume. Before anyone can take their costume home, he/she must try it on so that the teacher can see the costume on the student. Most pants will need to be hemmed. Some costumes may need alterations. If a costume must be exchanged there is a $40 fee to exchange the costume which is the parent’s responsibility. The studio will be open on January 20th Martin Luther King’s birthday and Inauguration Day since most of the festivities that you can watch on TV will be finished by 4:00 P.M. Weather alert: if it should snow and classes are cancelled for the day, or school is dismissed early, or if after school activities are cancelled due to bad weather, we also close for the evening. If schools have a late opening in the morning, we will have classes in the evening. In the spring, we try to have a make-up time for missed classes. Tuition is due by the 7th of every month. There is an outside green mailbox that has GRACIE and 44150 on the side of the mailbox, and you can put your tuition payments in that mailbox. It is locked so it is safe. Otherwise, you can put the tuition payment in the inside mail slot under the counter in the main lobby. Please PRINT your child’s name on the envelope if paying by cash, or in the memo section of the check (checks should not go into an envelope). A late fee of $20 is accrued to any late payment (paid after 8 PM on the 7th of any month). The Holly Jolly Show/Event was a huge success! Thank you everyone who came to this event to help support the show troupe! Choreography is going to be heavy-duty starting in January, so please try extra-hard to get your children to classes!
